the LZB strikes again. this time was a movie trip at JP, with 2 tag-alongs JJ and poh. the strength of the LZBs was almost full. jp and beca, audrua and qianlu, hou and i and sh. the feeling of camaraderie never ceases to amaze me. though we have not went through thick and thin together, neither were we close friends throughout our 3 years in hall, there is a certain bond which links all of us. the bond of being the oldest batch of girls in hall that is. somehow the bond is also a kind of power. power held only by strength of experience and amount of time spent in hall. at the recent CNY steamboat dinner, the jcrc prez gave us free yu-sheng (without the fish...) despite us feeling paiseh to accept, as we all did not pay block fund, and were only there by merit of thick-skin-ness. however, he said 2 words which really truck me hard.
"seniors ma.."
was all he said. and at that point it does struck me. somehow senior do hold a certain power, whereby we dare to do whatever we like, can openly dislike anyone we like. gone were the days where we see a senior and had to force an unwilling smile. now we were the seniors instead. and in that, it is the reverse situation. how odd it feels, yet how good it feels.
back to the camaraderie. we all truly enjoyed ourselves during any outings and events we hold for ourselves. whether is it JB trip, steamboat or even a simple movie date. we occupy at least half a row of the cinema, we laugh the loudest, we laugh at each other crying at touching scenes (I Not Stupid 2. Great movie! Must watch if you are Singaporean. The message rocks you to the core.), mocking those who had red noses, bought supper..somehow simple events can serve as great memories. when i leave behind my Uni life to step out into the adult world, i will look back and savour those memories of the LZBs and how we truly enjoyed ourselves doing simple things at a simple time of our lives.
ps. i got an A for 304 presentation! first time in my life! so happy i must show it off here.
